Splainer

Terms of service

Last updated 2 November 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Shadow Lancer, Sweden ("we"), for using the Splainer app and Splainer Cloud. By using Splainer you accept them. If you don't, please don't use it.

Beta

Splainer is in beta. Features may change, break or be removed, and Splainer Cloud may be unavailable at times. We will try to tell you in the app before larger changes.

Using the app

You may install and use Splainer on your own computers. You may not resell it, remove its notices, or use it to break the law or someone else's rights.

Your own AI services

When you connect your own key or a local server, your use of that service is between you and its provider, under their terms and prices. We are not responsible for their availability, charges or how they handle your data.

Splainer Cloud accounts

Acceptable use

Don't use Splainer to create illegal content, harass or harm people, attack systems, get around limits or other people's security, or automate access in ways that overload the service. We may suspend accounts that do, and we will tell you why unless the law prevents it.

AI answers can be wrong

Splainer uses AI models that can misread your screen, misunderstand you or state wrong things confidently. Check important answers yourself, especially for health, legal, financial or safety matters. Splainer only acts on your desktop through the tools you allow, and you remain responsible for what you ask it to do.

Your content

What you say, show and create with Splainer belongs to you. You give us only the permission needed to pass it to the AI provider and return the answer. We don't claim ownership and don't keep it; see the privacy policy.

Paid plans

When paid plans launch, prices, what's included and how to cancel will be shown before you pay. Subscriptions renew until cancelled and can be cancelled at any time, effective at the end of the paid period. Consumers in the EU keep their statutory rights, including the right of withdrawal where it applies.

Liability

Splainer is provided as it is. As far as Swedish law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, lost data or lost profits, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.

Ending

You can stop using Splainer and delete your account at any time. We may end the service with at least 30 days' notice, and refund unused prepaid time.

Law and disputes

Swedish law applies. If we can't solve a problem together, consumers in Sweden can turn to the National Board for Consumer Disputes (ARN), or to the courts of their home country in the EU.
